Compensation: $38,000 - $45,000

Over the years we have evolved to accommodate a diverse array of adventurers from all corners of the world. Our portfolio of brands under Discover Canada Tours include: Discover Canada Student Adventures, Destination Snow, West Trek, West Trek Social Club, and most recently Discover Vancouver Tours.

We are looking for a diligent person who brings a commitment for excellence to join our Discover Canada Student Adventures (DCSA) team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

The Junior Account Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operational delivery of Discover Canada Student Adventures tours. Reporting to the Division Lead, this junior-level role focuses on tour logistics, operational readiness, student communication, and systems support.

This role supports the organization and preparation of all tour components to ensure smooth and efficient program delivery. It is well suited for someone highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a fast-paced student travel environment.

As a Junior Account Coordinator, your responsibilities include: 

Tour Operations & Logistics (Primary Focus)
  • Prepare and maintain rooming lists, passenger manifests, activity manifests, and other tour documentation.
  • Tracking of passenger booking deadlines.
  • Collect, organize, and verify required waivers and documentation prior to departure.
  • Assist in preparing and distributing final tour documents, including itineraries, chaperone packages, packing lists, and operational notes.
  • Send departure communications to students and clients one week prior to travel.
  • Assist with on-the-ground tour support and occasional program delivery as needed.
  • Assist the Tour Operations Coordinator with the following duties:
  • Coordination and confirmation of hotels, activities, transportation, and tour inclusions. 
  • Tracking of hotel booking deadlines, release periods, and operational timelines to support on-time confirmations.
Student Communication & Support
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for student inquiries related to tours and logistics.
  • Respond to student requests professionally, promptly, and with a high level of customer care.
  • Escalate operational concerns appropriately in alignment with company procedures.
Systems, Admin & Marketing Support
  • Build and maintain customized booking pages and tour websites.
  • Load and update tours, optional activities, and products within booking systems.
  • Maintain accuracy across operational platforms (e.g., Ventrata, FareHarbor, WeTravel).
  • Support administrative tasks and assist with the creation of promotional materials as needed.
  • Ensure tour details, inclusions, and timelines are accurately reflected across systems.
Travel & Availability
  • Flexibility to support occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends during peak tour periods.
  • Availability to travel occasionally to join tours and gain hands-on operational experience.

Here are The Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada (proof of authorization required). Candidates must hold valid work authorization for the duration of the role (minimum 12–24 months remaining).
  • A clean Criminal Record Check (with vulnerable sector, retrieved within the last two years).
  • Post-secondary education background in Business, Tourism, Marketing, Hospitality, Communication Studies, Education, or a related field.
  • 0.5 - 1 years of work experience or an equivalent in education in operations, administration, tourism, hospitality, events, education, or customer service. 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy when handling bookings and documentation.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets), with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Customer-service oriented with a solutions-focused mindset.
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and willingness to learn.
  • Interest in student travel, logistics, or event coordination.
